LastPass Premium

LastPass Premium is available to students and alumni who want an account to store personal logins in a secure vault that is accessed using their LastPass master password. The service is optional and provided for free.

Users With Existing LastPass Account Using UNLV Email

Before you upgrade to a premium account, you must change your email on your existing LastPass account to your personal email (non-UNLV email) or ask the IT Help Desk for assistance.

Upgrade Existing Account

  1. Visit UNLV LastPass Partner Premium page.
  2. Enter your UNLV email (@nevada.unlv.edu or @alumni.unlv.edu) and personal email (non-UNLV email) associated with your existing account.
  3. Click Submit to be directed to a confirmation page.
  4. Check your UNLV email for an email from LastPass (do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com) and click Upgrade my account.
  5. On Activate Your Account page, scroll down to Already have an account? and click Log in to sign in with your personal LastPass master password.
  6. On the Redeem LastPass Premium page, click Confirm to complete set up.

Premium Account Support

UNLV does not manage premium accounts. Contact LastPass Support if you forget your master password or have issues with your premium account.

Activate New Premium Account

  1. Visit UNLV LastPass Partner Premium page.
  2. In the field asking for your university email, enter your UNLV email (@nevada.unlv.edu or @alumni.unlv.edu) to verify your status.
  3. Enter your personal email (non-UNLV email), then click Submit to be directed to a confirmation page.
  4. Check your UNLV email for an email from LastPass (do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com) and click Create my account.
  5. Enter your personal email in the top field if it is not already there, then Create your Master Password.
  6. Follow the remaining prompts, then click Create my account to complete set up.

Leaving UNLV

Students and alumni get free premium accounts for life while UNLV offers LastPass. LastPass renews your account automatically.

Password Access

Only you have access to information stored in your LastPass account. The university cannot recover passwords or other information stored in LastPass. We recommend you set up account recovery when you sign up.
