LastPass Business

LastPass Business is available to employees and student workers to store work-related logins in a secure vault that is accessed using their ACE login. The service is optional and provided for free.

Request Business Account

Activate Business Account

  1. Once an account is requested, check your UNLV email (@unlv.edu) for a confirmation email from LastPass (do-not-reply-support@lastpass.com).
  2. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your business account with your UNLVMail email.
  3. Follow the prompts on the screen to complete the account creation process.
  4. Install the LastPass browser extension and/or mobile application to easily access the password manager.
  5. Sign into LastPass using your ACE username and password. Contact the IT Help Desk if you forgot your ACE password.

Employees With Existing LastPass Account Using UNLV Email

Before you request a business account, the IT Help Desk can help you move to a business account if you already have a LastPass account using your UNLV email (@unlv.edu or @unlv.nevada.edu) to store work-related logins.

Personal and Family Accounts

With a business account, you can redeem or upgrade to LastPass Premium for personal use through the Families as a Benefit feature. You can also share this benefit with up to five family members. This service is available for free.

  1. Once logged into LastPass with your business account, select Account Benefits on the left side.
  2. Click Activate LastPass Families for free.
  3. Enter your personal LastPass username and password, then click Let’s Go.
  4. Click Link accounts if you want your personal and business account to show up in the same LastPass vault, then follow the prompts to verify linked accounts. This step is optional.

Premium Account Support

UNLV does not manage premium accounts. Contact LastPass Support if you forget your master password or have issues with your premium account.

Leaving UNLV

Once an employee leaves UNLV, their business account will be disabled and they will be unable to access information saved in the account.

Once an employee leaves UNLV, their premium account converts to a free account or they can upgrade to a premium account for a monthly subscription. The employee can still access information in this personal account.

Like premium, all families accounts convert to a free account when the employee leaves UNLV. They have the option to upgrade to a premium account.

Password Access

Only you have access to information stored in your LastPass account. The university cannot recover passwords or other information stored in LastPass. We recommend you set up account recovery when you sign up.
