UNLV’s total unduplicated student headcount for Fall 2026 is 33,629, as of the fall preliminary census. The gender distribution shown is 19,028 female students (56.6 percent) and 14,601 male students (43.4 percent).
Of the total enrollment, 29,967 students, or 89.1 percent, are Nevada residents. The remaining 3,662 students, or 10.9 percent, are non-residents.
Enrollment by academic career consists of 27,891 undergraduate students, 4,694 graduate students, and 1,066 professional students. The professional total includes 271 medical students, 345 dental students, and 450 law students.
The IPEDS race and ethnicity distribution is: Hispanic or Latino, 12,245 (36.4 percent); White, 7,997 (23.8 percent); Asian, 5,137 (15.3 percent); two or more races, 3,441 (10.2 percent); Black or African American, 3,007 (8.9 percent); non-resident, 1,032 (3.1 percent); unknown, 450 (1.3 percent); Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, 196 (0.6 percent); and American Indian or Alaska Native, 124 (0.4 percent).
During the 2025–26 academic year, UNLV conferred 4,828 bachelor’s degrees, 1,440 master’s degrees, 513 doctorate degrees, and 121 certificates, for a total of 6,902.
The one-year retention rate for full-time, first-time undergraduate cohorts was 77.4 percent in 2020, 76.9 percent in 2021, 77.9 percent in 2022, 79.2 percent in 2023, 79.4 percent in 2024, and 78.7 percent in 2025.
The six-year graduation rate for full-time, first-time undergraduate cohorts was 47.1 percent for the 2015 cohort, 47.1 percent for the 2016 cohort, 50.1 percent for the 2017 cohort, 50.4 percent for the 2018 cohort, 51.6 percent for the 2019 cohort, and 50.9 percent for the 2020 cohort.
