Trellix Encryption To Be Reinstalled On UNLV Computers
Announcement Body
Listen to this announcement
Trellix encryption software will be reinstalled on UNLV computers at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2 as part of planned maintenance.
To limit disruptions in their work, faculty and staff are encouraged to save their files to their Google Drive or X:\ or Y:\ drives before maintenance begins. They should also keep their computer turned on and log out while the update is being completed.
To restart their computer, faculty and staff need to follow the prompts. This will ensure Trellix is reinstalled and their computer is protected with encryption. Mac users will enter their password as part of the installation process.
For more information about encryption, visit the UNLV IT site. Anyone with questions or issues logging into their UNLV computer should contact the IT Help Desk.
