SentinelOne Now Protecting IT-Managed Devices
Announcement Body
Listen to this announcement
UNLV IT has now enabled SentinelOne, a next-generation security tool, for advanced protection on IT-managed computers.
- SentinelOne will now automatically detect, stop, and remediate threats on IT-managed computers in real time.
- The previous antivirus solution, Sophos, will be removed from computers automatically over the week.
- The transition should be seamless, with no action required. However, if your computer performance slows or applications won't open, please restart your computer. If you still experience issues, contact the IT Help Desk.
Some colleges and departments use different tools and may not be included. For details and a list of excluded units, visit the SentinelOne IT initiative page.
We appreciate your support as we work together to keep UNLV’s devices and data secure.
