Hector Ibarra, associate director of client services in the Office of Information Technology (OIT), has accepted a position with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. His last day at UNLV will be June 30.

A UNLV alumnus, Ibarra has served UNLV for 20 years in OIT. He held multiple leadership roles, where he most recently oversaw the IT Help Desk, RebelCard, and several other customer-facing IT services. Instrumental in advancing campuswide IT initiatives, Ibarra’s contributions include the Lotus Notes to Google transition, Novell to Active Directory migration, TeamDynamix implementation. He also led the campuswide adoption of the Atrium card system for RebelCard.

We thank Ibarra for his two decades of dedicated service to UNLV and wish him continued success in this next chapter of his career.
