Just in time for the fall semester beginning on Aug. 28, major updates have occurred to some of our popular technology services.

Wi-Fi Expansions
Our campus wireless network, eduroam, continues to grow alongside our campus community. New wireless access points around campus make this increased WiFi coverage possible. It is recommended to ensure that wireless devices are enrolled every 12 months.

Increased Security
With the use of multifactor authentication, more layers of security and privacy protection are added. Additional verification methods, such as the Okta Verify mobile app, are required when logging into applications that use ACE accounts, including MyUNLV, WebCampus, and Google Workspace applications like your university email.

Video Conferencing Updates
Zoom officially launched to campus this June as the university’s video conferencing tool. UNLV employees can host web conferences, online lectures, and virtual office hours while students can join sessions through WebCampus.

New MyUNLV Look and Login
Current students, faculty, and staff can use their ACE username and password to access MyUNLV. This change provides greater convenience and security by using a single username and password across various university applications.

Rebel Success Hub
Added functionality in the student success platform, Rebel Success Hub, provides academic advisors, faculty, college leadership, and other campus partners to provide more personalized interaction with students.
