New Panopto Assignment Folders Workflow Available May 15

Listen to this announcement

Beginning May 15, assignment folders will be created automatically when instructors or students interact with Panopto using the Panopto Recordings tab or embed a video via the rich content editor (RCE) in an assignment or discussion post. This will streamline the setup of Panopto assignments for instructors and students.

  • By default, student-initiated submissions will now appear in a “Student Submissions” folder.
  • Videos stored in the “Student Submissions” folder and cannot be edited, renamed, or deleted after upload.

The manual assignment folder workflow is still available if you would prefer to select a specific folder for students to save their Panopto recordings and they retain the ability to edit, rename, move, or delete their videos.
