About Labs

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) maintains 50 computer labs on campus, with some 1,500 computers available for academic use. The labs provide access to technology for learning, teaching, and research pursuits.

Remote Classes or Study Areas

Spaces and resources are available in the computer labs to participate in a remote course or study while on campus. Students can bring their own devices, like a laptop or headset, or use a computer in the lab.

Headset use:

Students are required to use headsets (headphones and microphone) for remote classes. They must bring their own headsets and adapter for Bluetooth. General labs accept:

  • USB Type A
  • USB Type C (limited availability in some specialized locations)
  • 3.5 mm standard audio

Webcams:

A limited number of USB webcams are available for in-room use. Ask a lab monitor for assistance.
