Scheduling Meetings in Gmail

You can now find convenient meeting times with others much quicker. When you compose a new message, you will see a new Calendar icon that will allow you to:

  • Offer times you’re free: This option allows you to select and insert proposed meeting times directly from your calendar into the email, and the the recipient can review the proposed times and select one to automatically get an email with a calendar invite.
  • Create an event: This options allows you a quick way to schedule a meeting and share the event information back in the email.

Availability

This feature is now available for all UNLVMail (@unlv.edu) and Rebelmail accounts (@unlv.nevada.edu)

Replacing URL in Google Sheet with Smart Chip

Google has added YouTube chips to Sheets to help you more easily manage YouTube content. This feature allows you to add YouTube data, such as the title, description, and video preview, directly into your spreadsheet cell.

To add a YouTube smart chip, paste a YouTube link into the cell, hover over it, and click the “Chip” option included in the “Replace URL” hovercard.

Setting "Add co-presenter"

You can now allow multiple people to present together in Meet. As the primary presenter, you can assign participants to co-present Slides with you. As a co-presenter, you can:

  • See the audience, presentation, and Slides controls in one window.
  • Navigate the presentation. 
  • Start and stop media within the presentation. 
  • To add a co-presenter, select "Add co-presenter" in the people panel drop down menus.
