Phase 3 of ACE Upgrade Scheduled for Jan. 12

The university’s identity management system (ACE) is being upgraded to improve security, stability, and performance. Two phases of the upgrade have been completed. The third phase takes place this weekend, completing the upgrade cycle.

Upgrade timeframe
Phase 3 of the upgrade is scheduled between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12.

How will it affect customers?
It is anticipated that there will be minimal service disruption to customers throughout the upgrade window. UNLV students, faculty, and staff will be able to use their ACE credentials to access campus applications and services (e.g., Gmail, computer logins, WebCampus-Canvas, Workday, and VPN). 

Restrictions during the upgrade
While the upgrade takes place, the following limitations will be implemented:

  • ACE accounts will not be created or modified. (e.g., name changes)
  • Password changes will not be available.
  • The ACE self-service portal will not be available.
