Office 365 Outage for Students Over Winter Break

Over winter break, OIT will consolidate the student Office 365 environment with the faculty and staff Office 365 environment to help improve collaboration between students, faculty, and staff.

As part of this work, all UNLV student data must be moved from the present Office 365 environment to the main UNLV Office 365 environment.

Beginning Monday, December 20 until Sunday, January 2, your Office 365 account will not be accessible.

Prepare for this outage by:

  1. Installing Office applications on your computer ahead of time if necessary. Use the option to install from the upper right-hand corner of your Office 365 dashboard.
  2. Downloading any files you may need to work on during the maintenance period (December 20 - January 2) locally to your computer.
  3. Removing any unneeded files stored on OneDrive. Lower data sizes will make the data transition faster.
  4. Deleting unneeded SharePoint sites on your UNLV Office 365 account.
