Since the end of the spring 2021 semester, multiple new features and improvements have been made to UNLV’s e-learning systems.
WebCampus has a new student annotations online submission type for assignments and has updated features in the gradebook and Speedgrader. H5P, an interactive creation tool for instructors, has been integrated with WebCampus.
Returning Graduate Assistants should note that their primary email addresses in WebCampus have been changed to the UNLVMail address. These changes and new features are explained in depth on the WebCampus new features page.
Panopto released Capture, a new browser-based recording tool that can be used without downloading the Panopto application. There is also an option now to enable Webex recordings to automatically copy into Panopto. These and other new features are detailed on the What’s New in Panopto page.
Webex has had several enhancements over the summer, including an interface update, new branding, and a new guest joining enhancement to make it easier to bring guests into your meeting. A local call-in number has been added to allow those joining by phone from the local area to not incur long-distance charges. To read more about these and other recent changes in Webex, review the What’s New in Webex page.
WebCampus Start of Semester Checklist and Course Availability
For useful tips on making sure courses and your devices are ready for the new semester, please review the Instructor Start of Semester Checklist or the Student Start of Semester Checklist.
While courses are available to students one week prior to the start of the semester, instructors may unpublish their courses while updating materials. Until the course is published, it will not be visible on students' dashboards.
