Fall 2021 Google Workspace Feature Spotlight Now Available

The latest edition of the Google Workspace Feature Spotlight is now available. This will also be the last edition as we move from a quarterly format to a new blog and mailing list-style format.

Register now for Google Workspace Updates from OIT to get the latest news delivered to your inbox or bookmark the Google Workspace Updates blog to find updates at your convenience.

In this edition:

New features in Google Calendar make collaboration even easier. Let your coworkers know where you’re working from with Work Locations, create and share meeting notes inside Calendar invitations, see how you spend your time with Time Insights, and create chat groups with meeting attendees right from the invitation.

You can now watermark Google Docs with images to help readers identify important information, such as drafts, confidentiality, and more.

Assign up to 25 co-hosts in Google Meet to share access and controls for meetings.

Sites, Google’s web publishing app, now lets users design custom themes. Sites users should also take note that Classic Google Site Must Be Converted to New Sites by Jan. 2022.

You can learn Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive on-demand at any time with LinkedIn Learning. The IT Help Desk is available by phone from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. every day for assistance.
